What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat recommends implementing strict input validation to block user input that attempts to access prototype chain properties such as __proto__, constructor, and prototype before passing property paths to _.unset and _.omit functions. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10 is not affected and requires no action. Monitor Red Hat advisories for any future patches.

Description

CVE-2025-13465 is a prototype pollution vulnerability in the Lodash library's _.unset and _.omit functions. This flaw allows an attacker who can control property paths to delete methods from global prototypes, potentially causing denial of service by removing essential functionalities. The vulnerability is exploitable only if user input controls the property path passed to these functions. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10 is not affected as it no longer includes the vulnerable pcs-web-ui component. No fix has been released yet, but input validation can mitigate the issue.
