Users are advised to monitor Red Hat advisories for updates. Where possible, restrict access to the PostgreSQL database to trusted users only and limit the use of tsvector and tsquery functions with untrusted input. Customers with Red Hat Technical Account Managers (TAM) may seek direct guidance. Upgrading to a supported product version with a future fix is recommended once available.
Description
Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2.2 includes the Ansible Automation Portal as a bootable container image. A related vulnerability, CVE-2026-14662, affects PostgreSQL used within this platform, where an unprivileged database user can exploit an integer wraparound in tsvector and tsquery functions to cause an out-of-bounds write, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution. No fix is currently available for this vulnerability in the affected products. The advisory highlights the importance of this issue but notes that direct exploitation by application users is unlikely in typical scenarios.
