Description

Brotli is a generic-purpose lossless compression algorithm that compresses data using a combination of a modern variant of the LZ77 algorithm, Huffman coding and 2nd order context modeling, with a compression ratio comparable to the best currently available general-purpose compression methods. It is similar in speed with deflate but offers more dense compression. Security Fix(es): * brotli: Out-of-Bounds Write in Google Brotli Decoder (CVE-2026-111497) Bug Fix(es) and Enhancement(s): * Incorrect Python parameter name in brotli makes CVE-2025-66471 fixes ineffective (JIRA:RHEL-221126) For more details about the security issue(s), including the impact, a CVSS score, acknowledgments, and other related information, refer to the CVE page(s) listed in the References section.
