Description
A security vulnerability (CVE-2024-42472) affects bubblewrap and flatpak in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0 Update Services for SAP Solutions. The flaw allows applications using the persistent= (--persist) option in flatpak to access files outside their sandbox. Bubblewrap is a core execution engine for unprivileged containers, operating as a setuid binary on kernels without user namespaces. Red Hat has issued an important security advisory with updates to address this issue.
