What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated packages for cockpit-image-builder that fix these vulnerabilities. Users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and its variants should apply the cockpit-image-builder update version 94.4-1.el10_2 or later as provided in the Red Hat errata RHSA-2026:71543. Detailed update instructions are available at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigation actions are specified beyond applying the official update.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in the fast-uri component used by the cockpit-image-builder frontend in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. These include server-side request forgery (SSRF) via repeated hostname percent-decoding, malformed IPv6 normalization, URI parsing flaws enabling SSRF and redirects, and authority injection through unvalidated port serialization. The update addresses these issues to prevent potential exploitation.
