Description
A denial of service vulnerability (CVE-2026-23490) exists in the pyasn1 component used by fence-agents, which handle remote power management for cluster devices in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.6. The flaw is due to memory exhaustion caused by malformed RELATIVE-OID data. This can cause affected systems to become unresponsive or crash during processing of malicious input. Red Hat has released an update to fence-agents packages to address this issue.
