What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated fence-agents packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 that address this vulnerability. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:1905 and the referenced article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.

Description

A denial of service vulnerability exists in the pyasn1 library used by the fence-agents packages in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. The flaw is due to memory exhaustion caused by malformed RELATIVE-OID data. Fence-agents provide scripts for remote power management in clusters, allowing failed nodes to be restarted or removed. This security update addresses the issue to prevent potential denial of service conditions.
