AI-suggested

Red Hat has released an official security update for Flatpak in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0 to address this vulnerability. Users should apply the provided update as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (RHSA-2024:3970) and the linked article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. Applying this update mitigates the sandbox escape vulnerability. No additional or alternative mitigations are specified by the vendor.

Flatpak is used for building, distributing, and running sandboxed desktop applications on Linux. Red Hat has issued an important security update addressing this issue in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0. The vulnerability could allow an attacker to break out of the sandbox environment, potentially leading to unauthorized access or actions outside the intended sandbox restrictions.
