What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released security updates for FreeRDP in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 Extended Life Cycle Long Life and AUS variants. Users should apply these official patches as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate the vulnerabilities. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

Two security vulnerabilities in FreeRDP, a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol, allow arbitrary code execution due to heap out-of-bounds write and heap buffer overflow issues in specific decoding and pipeline components. These flaws affect Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 versions and have been addressed by Red Hat in updated packages.
