What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated packages for FreeRDP that address these vulnerabilities. Users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support and related products should apply the provided security updates as detailed in Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:46393. Refer to https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 for update instructions. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patches.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified in FreeRDP, a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). These include heap-buffer-overflow, heap use-after-free, and out-of-bounds write flaws that allow for remote code execution or denial of service. The issues affect the xfreerdp client and related components, enabling potential arbitrary code execution via crafted RDP packets or bitmap decoders. Red Hat has issued an important security advisory with updates available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support and related products.
