What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated FreeRDP packages that fix these vulnerabilities. Users of affected Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 and related variants should apply the security update freerdp-2.4.1-6.el9_2.12 or later as provided in RHSA-2026:71388. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official patch.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in FreeRDP, a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). These include memory disclosure, denial of service, and a heap-buffer-overflow that allows arbitrary code execution via crafted inputs. The issues affect the xfreerdp client used to connect to various RDP servers. Red Hat has released an important security update addressing these vulnerabilities in FreeRDP packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 and related variants.
