What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released an updated freerdp package for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.2 AUS that addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

Two security vulnerabilities in FreeRDP, a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol, allow arbitrary code execution via heap out-of-bounds write and heap buffer overflow. These issues affect the RLE planar decode path and the GDI surface pipeline components. Red Hat has issued a security update for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.2 AUS to address these vulnerabilities.
