What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has not released a fix for this vulnerability yet. Users should follow Red Hat Satellite documentation for installing and configuring Red Hat Lightspeed locally to minimize exposure. Monitor Red Hat advisories for updates and apply patches once available. No vendor advisory states that no action is required or that the issue is already mitigated.

Description

CVE-2026-44431 is a vulnerability in the urllib3 Python HTTP client library used by Red Hat Satellite's Lightspeed component. It involves cross-origin redirects forwarding sensitive headers when using the low-level API with assert_same_host set to false. This could allow a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information. Red Hat has made a new container image generally available but has not yet released a fix for this vulnerability.
