Red Hat advises that applications using AIOHTTP and configured to load untrusted files via CookieJar.load() should implement input sanitization before loading to prevent code injection. Users should follow Red Hat Satellite documentation for updates and apply input validation as a mitigation measure.
Description
CVE-2026-34993 is a vulnerability in the AIOHTTP Python asynchronous HTTP framework that allows potential arbitrary code execution via untrusted input to the CookieJar.load() function. This flaw arises when applications load attacker-controlled files, which is not a default or common configuration in most Red Hat products. Red Hat Satellite includes Red Hat Lightspeed, which uses this framework. The vulnerability is rated as important due to the risk of arbitrary code execution if exploited.
