AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated gnutls packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the provided security updates as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate the issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patches.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities were identified and fixed in the GnuTLS library used by Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support. These include policy bypasses due to case-sensitive and incorrect name constraint handling, certificate validation bypasses related to URI, SRV SANs, and oversized Subject Alternative Names, a use-after-free flaw, and memory corruption due to an off-by-one error in PKCS#12 bag handling. The update addresses these issues to improve the security of cryptographic operations in GnuTLS.
