AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8 that fix these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor.
Description
Two security vulnerabilities were addressed in the gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free package for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8. The first is a heap out-of-bounds write in the rfbsrc/librfb component when using a 16bpp framebuffer (CVE-2026-59691). The second is a stack buffer overflow in the DTLS certificate Subject DN verification callback in OpenSSL (CVE-2026-59692). These issues could potentially lead to memory corruption. Red Hat has released updated packages to fix these vulnerabilities.
