AI-suggested

Red Hat has released an official security update for the gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free package in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support that addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the update as detailed in Red Hat's advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the vendor-provided patch.

Description

Two security vulnerabilities were identified in the gstreamer1-plugins-bad-free package used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support. The first is a heap out-of-bounds write in the rfbsrc/librfb Hextile code when handling 16bpp framebuffers (CVE-2026-59691). The second is a stack buffer overflow in the DTLS certificate Subject DN verification callback in OpenSSL (CVE-2026-59692). These issues could lead to memory corruption and potential security risks. Red Hat has issued an important security update addressing these flaws.
