What to do
AI-suggested
Red Hat has released an official security update for java-11-openjdk packages addressing these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the update as provided by Red Hat for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 and restart all running OpenJDK Java instances to ensure the fixes take effect. No additional mitigations are specified or required beyond applying this update.
Description
Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed in the java-11-openjdk packages provided by Red Hat. These include an array out-of-bounds access in the C1 compiler, RSA padding and timing side-channel issues in TLS, JVM class file verifier flaws, range check loop optimization problems, arbitrary Java code execution in Nashorn, and logging of digital signature private keys. The update addresses these issues in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 variants. Users must apply the update and restart all running OpenJDK Java instances for the fixes to take effect.
