Description
Red Hat has released a security and bug fix update for the java-1.8.0-openjdk packages, which provide the OpenJDK 8 Java Runtime Environment and Software Development Kit. The update addresses multiple security vulnerabilities including array out-of-bounds access, RSA padding and timing side-channel issues in TLS, JVM class file verifier flaws, loop optimization errors, arbitrary code execution in Nashorn, and logging of private keys. The update applies to Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 8 and 9 and their Extended Update Support variants. Users must restart all running OpenJDK Java instances for the update to take effect.
