What to do
AI-suggested
Red Hat has released an official security update for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 that addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the kernel update provided by Red Hat as soon as possible and reboot their systems to ensure the fixes take effect. Detailed update instructions are available in the Red Hat advisory. No additional mitigations are required beyond applying the official patch and rebooting.
Description
Red Hat has issued a security advisory for multiple vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel packages affecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2. The update addresses several issues including use-after-free vulnerabilities in traffic control and bonding drivers that may lead to denial of service or privilege escalation, buffer limit handling in network scheduling, and validation flaws in SMB client ACL handling. Additional fixes address memory corruption and race conditions. The update requires a system reboot to take effect.
