What to do
AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated kernel packages that address these vulnerabilities. Users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Extended Update Support and related variants should apply the kernel update as described in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258). A system reboot is required for the update to take effect. No additional mitigations are indicated beyond applying the official update.
Description
Red Hat has issued a security advisory for multiple vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel packages affecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 Extended Update Support and related variants. The update addresses several issues including use-after-free (UAF) bugs, denial of service, memory corruption, and improper resource handling in various kernel components such as proc filesystem, network scheduler, nbd, scsi, RDMA, traffic control, bonding driver, and md/bitmap. These vulnerabilities have potential impacts ranging from denial of service to privilege escalation. The update requires a system reboot to take effect.
