Red Hat has released an updated kernel package that addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the provided kernel update for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 as soon as possible and reboot their systems to ensure the fixes take effect. Red Hat strongly advises against delaying this update to avoid exposure to these security issues.
Description
Red Hat has issued a security advisory for multiple vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel packages used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. The update addresses several security issues including use-after-free, double-free, overflow, and out-of-bounds memory access in various kernel subsystems such as Bluetooth, exFAT filesystem, key management, SMB client, iomap, and IPv6 networking. These vulnerabilities have been assigned CVE identifiers CVE-2026-53073, CVE-2026-63808, CVE-2026-63824, CVE-2026-64387, CVE-2026-68145, and CVE-2026-74581. Red Hat classifies this update as important and recommends applying the kernel update and rebooting affected systems to mitigate the risks.
