AI-suggested

Red Hat has released updated libsoup packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 Extended Life Cycle Long Life and AUS variants that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply these official updates promptly to remediate the heap buffer overflow issues. Refer to Red Hat's article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 for update instructions. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

Multiple heap buffer overflow vulnerabilities were found in libsoup, an HTTP client and server library for GNOME, related to WebSocket handling. These include issues from Pong signal type confusion, message reassembly, receive-buffer growth, and client-frame masking. Red Hat has issued security updates addressing these flaws in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 variants.
