What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released OpenJDK 21.0.2 which includes fixes for all listed vulnerabilities. Users should update from OpenJDK 21.0.1 to 21.0.2 as soon as possible to mitigate these security risks. Detailed update instructions are available from Red Hat's official advisory and article at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying this official update.

Description

Red Hat has released an important security update for OpenJDK 21 (version 21.0.2) addressing multiple vulnerabilities including an array out-of-bounds access in the C1 compiler, an RSA padding and timing side-channel issue in TLS, a JVM class file verifier flaw, a range check loop optimization problem, and logging of digital signature private keys. These vulnerabilities could lead to unverified bytecode execution, potential cryptographic weaknesses, and exposure of sensitive key material. The update replaces OpenJDK 21.0.1 and includes both security and bug fixes.
