What to do

AI-suggested

Red Hat has released OpenJDK 8u402 as an official update that addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply this update promptly to mitigate the security risks. Detailed instructions for applying the update are available at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigations are specified beyond applying the official update.

Description

Red Hat has released an important security update for OpenJDK 8 (version 8u402) addressing multiple vulnerabilities including array out-of-bounds access in the C1 compiler, RSA padding and timing side-channel issues in TLS, JVM class file verifier flaws, arbitrary code execution in Nashorn, range check loop optimization issues, and logging of digital signature private keys. These vulnerabilities could allow unverified bytecode execution, arbitrary Java code execution, and potential leakage of private keys. The update replaces the previous OpenJDK 8u392 build and includes security fixes and enhancements.
