Red Hat has released OpenShift Container Platform 4.17.56 containing fixes for these vulnerabilities. Users should upgrade to this version using the OpenShift CLI or web console as soon as the updated packages and images are available in their release channel. Detailed upgrade instructions are provided in the official Red Hat documentation. No additional mitigations are indicated beyond applying the update.
Description
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.17.56 includes security updates addressing three kernel vulnerabilities: a netfilter flowtable action limit check (CVE-2026-43329), rejection of userspace cifs.spnego descriptions in the SMB client (CVE-2026-46243), and a Use-After-Free in net/gro due to improper handling of zerocopy skbs (CVE-2026-46323). These issues affect the Linux kernel components used within OpenShift. Users of OpenShift Container Platform 4.17 are advised to upgrade to this release to mitigate these vulnerabilities.
