Red Hat has released updated RPM packages and container images in OpenShift Container Platform 4.22.13 that fix these vulnerabilities. Upgrades can be performed using the OpenShift CLI (oc) or web console following Red Hat's documented procedures. No additional mitigations are indicated or required beyond applying these official updates.
Description
Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.22.13 includes security updates addressing two denial of service vulnerabilities in the Go programming language libraries used by the platform. The first vulnerability (CVE-2026-33814) involves the HTTP/2 implementation and can be triggered by a malformed SETTINGS_MAX_FRAME_SIZE frame. The second (CVE-2026-42504) involves the MIME package and can be triggered by a maliciously crafted MIME header. These issues could allow denial of service conditions on affected systems. Red Hat has released updated RPM packages and container images to fix these vulnerabilities and recommends all OpenShift Container Platform 4.22 users upgrade to these versions promptly.
