Description
CVE-2026-44990 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the sanitize-html library used by Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization v4.20. The flaw allows an attacker to embed malicious content within a disallowed xmp element, bypassing the HTML sanitization process. Successful exploitation can lead to arbitrary code execution or information disclosure when a user views the affected content. Red Hat has classified this as an important security issue but currently does not offer a mitigation that meets their criteria for ease of use and stability.
