AI-suggested

Red Hat has released security updates for Performance Co-Pilot in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8 variants. Users should apply these official patches as detailed in Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:73767 and the referenced article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No alternative mitigations are specified; applying the update is required to remediate these vulnerabilities.

Description

Multiple security vulnerabilities have been identified in Performance Co-Pilot (PCP), a suite for system-level performance measurement analysis. These include arbitrary command execution via command injection, privilege escalation to root, unauthenticated access bypassing access controls, and denial of service due to a signed integer overflow. Red Hat has issued an important security advisory addressing these issues with updated packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.8 variants.
