Description
A denial of service vulnerability (CVE-2026-8177) exists in the perl-XML-LibXML module used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2. The flaw involves processing truncated UTF-8 sequences in XML node names, which can cause the XML parser to crash or hang. Red Hat has issued an important security update to address this issue in the perl-XML-LibXML package for multiple architectures and variants of RHEL 9.2.
