AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated podman packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 and its variants that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the security update as described in the Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:90362 and the update instructions at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. Applying this update will remediate the arbitrary file write, denial of service, and man-in-the-middle vulnerabilities. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.
Description
Red Hat has issued a security advisory for podman, a tool that manages pods, container images, and containers. The update addresses multiple vulnerabilities including an arbitrary file write vulnerability when importing OCI archives (CVE-2025-11395), a denial of service vulnerability in golang's net/http package via crafted HTTP Range headers (CVE-2026-78667), and a man-in-the-middle attack risk due to untrusted intermediate certificates in golang's crypto/x509 package (CVE-2026-111943). The advisory applies to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 and its variants. The update is rated as Important by Red Hat Product Security.
