AI-suggested
No fixes or patches have been released yet for Red Hat AI Base Images 3.5.6 (CPU) regarding these vulnerabilities. Red Hat advises monitoring their security advisories for updates. Users should apply platform hardenings such as ASLR, NX, FORTIFY_SOURCE, and SELinux, which are already present in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, to reduce exploitation risk. No additional mitigations are specified for the AI Base Images at this time.
Description
Two vulnerabilities affect Red Hat AI Base Images 3.5.6 (CPU), including CVE-2026-111497, a flaw in the Google Brotli decoder that can cause out-of-bounds writes when decompressing crafted Brotli streams. This may lead to memory disclosure, denial of service, or potentially arbitrary code execution. Exploitation requires decompressing attacker-controlled Brotli data, and Red Hat platform hardenings increase exploitation difficulty. No fixes have been released yet for these issues in the AI Base Images.
