Users should monitor Red Hat advisories for updates. Headless environments without java.desktop are not affected and thus do not require action. Customers with Red Hat Technical Account Managers can seek direct guidance. Applying mitigations or upgrading to fixed versions is recommended once available.
Description
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the giflib component used by Red Hat AI Inference Server 3.2.2 (CUDA). Specifically, the EGifGCBToExtension function improperly handles a specially crafted Graphics Control Extension block, allowing an attacker to overwrite memory and cause a denial of service (DoS). Headless environments without java.desktop are not affected. No fix is currently available that meets Red Hat's criteria for deployment.
