Description

CVE-2025-62718 is a critical vulnerability in Axios, a promise-based HTTP client used by Red Hat Developer Hub (RHDH). The flaw arises from improper hostname normalization when evaluating NO_PROXY rules, allowing crafted requests to loopback addresses to bypass proxy exclusions. This can lead to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), potentially exposing sensitive internal or loopback services. Exploitation requires specific conditions: control over URLs passed to Axios in a server-side context, configured HTTP_PROXY and NO_PROXY settings, and a proxy capable of intercepting the rerouted traffic. Red Hat Developer Hub 1.8.6 addresses this issue among other fixes. No explicit patch version is stated in the advisory, and mitigation options are limited.
