Red Hat advises updating to the fixed versions of the affected dotnet 9.0 RPM packages included in the Red Hat Hardened Images update as soon as possible. No practical mitigation other than applying the update is currently available.
Description
A vulnerability in the dotnet ASP.NET Core runtime allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause an infinite loop, leading to denial of service by exhausting system resources. This flaw can cause application crashes and high CPU or memory consumption. Red Hat has released an update for Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs including dotnet 9.0 packages to address this issue. No practical mitigation other than updating is currently available.
