AI-suggested
Red Hat has released an updated openssl-fips-provider package (3.0.7-1.2.hum1) that addresses this issue. Applying this update is the recommended remediation. Currently, no alternative mitigations meet Red Hat's criteria for ease of use and applicability. Users should follow Red Hat's update instructions at https://images.redhat.com/ to apply the fix.
Description
A vulnerability in OpenSSL's RSASVE key encapsulation implementation can cause applications to disclose sensitive data from uninitialized memory when processing attacker-supplied invalid RSA public keys. This issue affects applications using the EVP_PKEY_encapsulate() function without proper validation of the RSA public key. The vulnerability has a moderate impact and no current mitigation meets Red Hat's criteria for ease of use and applicability. An update including openssl-fips-provider-3.0.7-1.2.hum1 packages has been released by Red Hat as a bug fix and enhancement update.
