AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated RPM packages for the affected rust components as part of Red Hat Hardened Images. Applying these updates will remediate the vulnerability. Users should update to the provided package versions (rust 1.98.1-1.hum1 and related components). No alternative mitigations are specified.
Description
A denial of service (DoS) vulnerability exists in rustls-webpki due to improper handling of a specially crafted Certificate Revocation List (CRL) containing an empty onlySomeReasons value in its issuingDistributionPoint extension. This flaw can cause applications that enable CRL revocation checking to panic and crash.
