AI-suggested

Upgrade joi to version 17.13.8, 18.2.9, or later to remediate this vulnerability. Until upgraded, avoid passing untrusted data to joi message configuration APIs (.messages() or .prefs()). Red Hat has released updated RPM packages including grafana12.4-12.4.10-0.3.hum1 to address this issue. Apply these updates as per Red Hat's advisory instructions.

Description

CVE-2026-90771 is a prototype pollution vulnerability in the joi library affecting the messages compilation function. An attacker can supply specially crafted __proto__ keys in custom messages, allowing manipulation of object properties. This can lead to unexpected application behavior or crashes. The vulnerability affects joi versions prior to 17.13.8 and 18.2.9. Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs including grafana12.4 have been updated to address this issue.
