What to do

AI-suggested

Currently, no mitigation is available or meets Red Hat's criteria for ease of use, applicability, and stability. Users should monitor Red Hat advisories for updates and apply patches once they become available. Until then, avoid processing untrusted SVG files with affected Qt SVG components.

Description

A vulnerability in the Qt SVG module allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) by providing a specially crafted SVG file with deeply nested elements. This triggers uncontrolled recursion and stack exhaustion, crashing the application. The issue affects Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs including qt6-qtsvg packages. No mitigation is currently available that meets Red Hat's criteria, and a fix has not yet been released.
