A fix is available via updated Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs for grafana13.1 (version 13.1.7-0.2.hum1). Users should apply this update to remediate the vulnerability. For other affected Red Hat products, fixes are deferred and no effective mitigation is currently available that meets Red Hat's criteria. No alternative mitigations are recommended by Red Hat at this time.

Description

A moderate severity vulnerability (CVE-2026-109955) exists in the Hono web framework used in Red Hat Hardened Images RPMs, including grafana13.1. The flaw involves a double path decoding issue in the serveStatic middleware that allows remote unauthenticated attackers to bypass security middleware and access protected static files without authentication. The vulnerability does not allow path traversal outside the configured root directory. Red Hat has released updated RPMs for grafana13.1 to address this issue.
