Red Hat has released version 8.1.3 of JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 8.1 for RHEL 9 to address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply this update after ensuring all previous errata are applied and backing up their systems. The vendor advisory provides detailed instructions for applying the update. No alternative mitigations or workarounds are specified. Systems running affected versions should be updated promptly to mitigate these security risks.
Description
Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 8.1.3 includes important security fixes addressing vulnerabilities in the Undertow HTTP server component. These include a failure to reject malformed Host headers that could lead to cache poisoning and SSRF (CVE-2025-12543), an out-of-memory condition when parsing form data with application/x-www-form-urlencoded encoding (CVE-2024-3884), and an HTTP/2 denial-of-service vulnerability (CVE-2025-9784). The update replaces version 8.1.2 and is intended for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9. The advisory rates the security impact as Important and provides fixes in the 8.1.3 release.
