AI-suggested
Users should upgrade to Tempo 3.11.0 to benefit from improved high availability defaults, security improvements, and bug fixes. Explicit replica settings can override defaults if needed. Users relying on Jaeger Query should transition to the distributed tracing UI plugin as Jaeger Query is deprecated. No additional mitigation actions are indicated by the vendor advisory.
Description
Red Hat OpenShift distributed tracing platform (Tempo) version 3.11.0 introduces new features, security improvements, and bug fixes. Key changes include improved high availability defaults for TempoStack deployments to reduce single points of failure, deprecation of the Jaeger Query component, and enhancements to support zone-aware replication and query RBAC auto-complete for non-sensitive attributes. Bug fixes address accurate pod readiness status reporting and correct gateway behavior with custom ingress hostnames and external OIDC authentication. No known exploits or technology preview features are reported in this release.
