Red Hat has released an official security update for Red Hat Directory Server 12.4 for RHEL 9 that addresses all listed vulnerabilities. Users should apply the update as described in the Red Hat advisory at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.
Description
Red Hat Directory Server 12.4 for RHEL 9 contains multiple critical security vulnerabilities including heap buffer overflow, pre-authentication NULL pointer dereference, privilege escalation via SASL PLAIN authentication, command injection in the Cockpit LDAP editor, and bypass of bind-rule checks by anonymous LDAP clients. These issues affect the 389-ds-base component and can lead to denial of service, privilege escalation, and unauthorized access. Red Hat has released an update addressing these vulnerabilities.
