AI-suggested
Red Hat has released an official security update for Red Hat Directory Server 12.2 E4S for RHEL 9.2 that addresses these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the 389-ds-base 2.2.7-17 module update or later to remediate these issues. Refer to Red Hat's official advisory and update instructions at https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258 for detailed guidance.
Description
Red Hat Directory Server 12.2 E4S for RHEL 9 contains multiple security vulnerabilities including pre-authentication LDAP filter injection, a NULL pointer dereference, and a pre-authentication stack buffer overflow. These issues affect the 389-ds-base component and have been addressed in a security update released by Red Hat. The vulnerabilities could potentially allow attackers to cause denial of service or execute arbitrary code prior to authentication.
