Currently, there is no available fix or mitigation that meets Red Hat's criteria for ease of use, applicability, or stability. Users should monitor Red Hat advisories for future updates. Since the vulnerability primarily affects applications that cancel queries concurrently, avoiding such query cancellation patterns may reduce exposure. Red Hat Product Security does not recommend any specific mitigation at this time.
Description
CVE-2025-47907 is a moderate severity vulnerability affecting the database/sql package used in Red Hat Trusted Artifact Signer (RHTAS) Operator deployments with OpenShift Container Platform versions 4.16 through 4.21. The flaw involves a race condition triggered when concurrent queries are cancelled during a Scan method call on returned Rows, potentially causing inconsistent data to be returned to applications. This issue primarily impacts applications that cancel queries while running multiple queries concurrently. No fix or mitigation currently meets Red Hat's criteria for ease of use, applicability, or stability.
