Description
A moderate severity vulnerability (CVE-2025-10158) in the rsync utility allows out-of-bounds array access via a negative index. Rsync is widely used for copying and synchronizing files locally or over networks by sending only file differences. This flaw could potentially lead to memory corruption or crashes. Red Hat has issued security updates for multiple Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 variants to address this issue.
