AI-suggested
Red Hat has released updated skopeo packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and its variants that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the provided security update as detailed in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate the issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official update.
Description
Red Hat has issued a security update for the skopeo command, which is used to inspect container images and registries. The update addresses multiple vulnerabilities in underlying Go libraries, including denial of service via pathological email parsing, excessive recursion in ASN.1 unmarshalling, quadratic complexity in URL path resolution, denial of service in unencrypted HTTP/2 connections, cross-site scripting via pathological input, and denial of service via indefinite TLS KeyUpdate messages. These vulnerabilities collectively pose risks of denial of service and cross-site scripting attacks. The update is rated as Important by Red Hat and applies to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 and its variants.
