AI-suggested
Red Hat has released security updates for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the available updates as described in the Red Hat advisory (https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258) to remediate these issues. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patches.
Description
Two security vulnerabilities have been identified in the System Security Services Daemon (SSSD) used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support. The first vulnerability (CVE-2026-14474) involves the sudo LDAP provider searching the entire directory tree for sudoRole objects by default, which can enable privilege escalation. The second vulnerability (CVE-2026-14476) involves a path traversal in the Group Policy Object (GPO) cache via an unsanitized gPCFileSysPath, allowing Kerberos authentication bypass. Red Hat has released security updates to address these issues.
