What to do

AI-suggested

No mitigation or patch currently meets Red Hat's criteria for deployment, ease of use, applicability, or stability. Users should monitor Red Hat advisories for updates and consider consulting with Red Hat technical account managers if applicable. Red Hat recommends following the Red Hat Satellite documentation for installation and configuration guidance. No immediate action is mandated by Red Hat beyond awareness and monitoring.

Description

A vulnerability (CVE-2026-84292) was found in the fast-uri component used by Red Hat Lightspeed in Satellite. The flaw involves improper serialization of the port component of a URI without validating its content, allowing an attacker to inject authority delimiters. This can cause the intended host to be demoted to user information and redirect network traffic to an attacker-controlled host, potentially compromising communication integrity. No fix is currently available that meets Red Hat's criteria for deployment and stability.
