Red Hat has released security updates for Tesseract in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 that address these vulnerabilities. Users should apply the provided updates as detailed in Red Hat advisory RHSA-2026:95085 and the referenced article https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patches.
Description
Multiple heap out-of-bounds and stack buffer overflow vulnerabilities have been identified in the Tesseract OCR engine, as used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. These flaws can lead to information disclosure, arbitrary code execution, denial of service, and heap corruption when processing crafted data or .traineddata files. Red Hat has issued security updates addressing these issues.
